MINUTES
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Sullivan Township Board held at the Sullivan Township Hall,
June 2, 2015.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Mabrito at 6:30 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance.
PRESENT: Supervisor, Tony Mabrito; Clerk, Sue Buckner; Treasurer, Tammy Gillette; Trustee, Kevin Aney; Trustee, Mary Kotecki; four residents, and one guest of Sullivan Township.
ABSENT: None
MINUTES: It was moved by Mary Kotecki, supported by Tammy Gillette, to accept the minutes of the regular meeting of May 5, 2015. Motion carried.
FINANCE: The Treasurer’s report on Township receipts of $33,694.29 for the period of May 1, 2015, through May 31, 2015, was presented by Treasurer, Tammy Gillette.
It was moved by Sue Buckner, supported by Kevin Aney, to pay bills of $16,877.60 as presented by Clerk, Sue Buckner. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Planning Commission: Minutes from May 12, 2015 Meeting were reviewed byCommission Secretary Eloise Jarka. The joint meeting, between the Township Board and Planning Commission, will be held next Tuesday, June 9, 5:30 p.m.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: Mr. Greg Vadnais, of Paxton Resources, gave a presentation regarding drilling for oil on township property. Clerk Buckner will meet with township attorney regarding surface lease that has to have board approval prior to application for permits process.
CORRESPONDENCE: None
OLD BUSINESS: Clerk Buckner to get with our township attorney, and local clerks, regarding the National Flood Insurance Program.
Volunteers are still needed for the June 27 Tire Recycle Event. Please contact the township office at 853-6900 to register.
NEW BUSINESS: Approval received from the township board to have Larry Darcy and crew, do clean up at Sullivan Township Cemetery.
Treasurer Gillette gave an update regarding the new township office server, and the Verizon jetpack for internet service.
DISCUSSION: MTS Permits issued for the month of April were discussed.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Sue Buckner, supported by Kevin Aney to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
