Sullivan Township Board Meeting Minutes September 7, 2021
Meeting called to order by Tony Mabrito at 6:30pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL: Present: Tony Mabrito-Supervisor, Libby Spencer-Clerk, Tracey McGhan-Treasurer, Joe Kremm-Trustee, John Carr-Trustee
Residents: 7 attended
Special Guests: Patrick Mutchler from Brickley Delong
MINUTES: It was moved by Libby Spencer, supported by John Carr, to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on August 3, 2021. Motion Carried.
FINANCE: The Treasurer’s report on Township Receipts of $52,869.36 for the period of August 1, 2021, through August 31, 2021 was presented by Treasurer, Tracey McGhan.
It was moved by Libby Spencer, supported by Tracey McGhan to pay the bills of $52,268.36 as presented by Clerk, Libby Spencer. Motion Carried.
REPORTS: Brickley DeLong Report – Patrick Mutchler, reviewed the FY2020/2021 Audit and reported that it went very well, and our township is fiscally sound.
-Planning Commission Report – John Carr
CORRESPONDENCE: Great Lakes Energy Cooperative Ordinance this Ordinance was passed by the board and will be published.
-Fresh Coast Planning – zoning activity report
OLD BUSINESS: Updated Noise Ordinance and Enforcement – the Updated Ordinance will be enforceable beginning September 12, 2021,
NEW BUSINESS: -The 2018 International Property Maintenance Code will be reviewed for possible adoption by October’s meeting.
-Senior Millage Application has been approved for submission to provide more services for our township’s senior citizens
-The Park Pavilions will be available by reservation next year for the nominal fee of $40
-Zoning Permit Application fee is being verified by John Carr and Julie Lovelace
– Golf Cart/ ORV Ordinance will be reviewing other Township Ordinances and Updating ours per the request of the MCRC.
-The Planning Commission is taking applications for a new member
– A Part Time Maintenance Person is also needed
PUBLIC COMMENTS: There are several ORV and Trucks crossing Norris Creek near the cemetery. Motorized Vehicles are prohibited in this area. The DNR and DEQ will be contacted for assistance.
