Sullivan Township Special Board Meeting Minutes August 17, 2023
The meeting was called to order by Tony Mabrito at 3:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL: Present: Tony Mabrito-Supervisor, Libby Spencer-Clerk, Tracey McGhan-Treasurer, Joe Kremm-Trustee, Jeremy Rios-Trustee, no residents attended.
Guest: Sawyer Rozgowski
NEW BUSINESS: Libby Spencer made a motion to call for a closed meeting at 3:01pm to consult with the township attorney regarding trial strategy in connection with 14th Circuit Court Case No. 23-3721-CZ, Joe Kremm supported; motion carried. The closed meeting ended at 4:28.
Additional assistance for the Office Administration was discussed. The board is going to review whether looking at a job-sharing option would make sense for our township. This would also provide us stability when our administrator decides to retire.
Noise ordinance- the board reviewed the newest version of the noise ordinance. The specific violation start and stop time of 9:00pm and 8:00am was discussed as a time when school children would be in bed sleeping. 10pm and 8am was offered as an alternate time. It was stated that no matter what time was on the ordinance we cannot make everyone happy so it was left at 9pm-8am.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Libby Spencer, supported by Joe Kremm to adjourn at 4:35pm, motion carried
