Sullivan Township Board Meeting Agenda June 4, 2024
MEETING: was called to order by Tony Mabrito at 5:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL: Present: Tony Mabrito-Supervisor, Libby Spencer-Clerk, Tracey McGhan-Treasurer, Joe Kremm-Trustee, Jeremy Rios-Trustee. Seven residents also attended.
MINUTES: It was moved by Tracey McGhan, supported by Joe Kremm, to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held. Motion carried.
FINANCE: The Treasurer’s report on all Township receipts of $41,372 for the period of March 1, 2023, to March 31, 2023, was presented by Treasurer Tracey McGhan. It was moved by Joe Kremm, supported by Tracey McGhan, to pay bills of $37,354 as presented by Clerk Libby Spencer. Motion carried.
REPORTS: Planning Commission – Jeremy Rios reported that a land division on Sullivan Road was approved with stipulations. The Muskegon Fairgrounds inspection was completed. There was also continued discussion about the Solar and Accessory Building sizes.
The Michigan Township Services and Fresh Coast Planning Activity reports were reviewed.
OLD BUSINESS: Township Office Administrator position interviews have begun and will continue.
NEW BUSINESS: Joint School/Township PINS Program Option is on hold until the Ravenna Public Schools have received the Federal Grant to off-set the costs.
-Tree Trimming in the park and Cemetery should be completed by the end of next week.
-The new Playground equipment is scheduled to be installed at the end of August.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: Angela Himber asked for advice for a means to rid her neighborhood of a large dog that is continually loose and causing issues for her and her neighbors. She has called Pound Buddies, Animal Control and the Authorities but has not had any success. She also reached out to the owner, so she is doing everything possible.
Courtney Glavich questioned if an amended Ordinance should be posted in the Muskegon Chronicle. According to MTA, posting the Board Meeting Minutes, ect. on the website and publishing them in the Ravenna Independent is adequate. Only the Public Hearings must be published in the Chronicle.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Libby Spencer, supported by Joe Kremm to adjourn at 5:57pm. Motion carried.
